Hello! I’m Aurel Tristen, one of the newer additions to the Macross Aria team. I mostly do 3D models of ships, scenes and effects, but can also be found working on sound effects, music, and a little bit of everything. I just wanted to introduce myself, and post some nice images to keep everyone interested.

The high quality ARMD model, a work in progress

Hello you nutzy macross fanboys and fangirls! I’m Hikuro and I’m the ADR supervisor for Macross Aria.
Let me tell you a bit about my experince and a quick run down on the ADR process.
I’ve been a huge anime fan since the day I was born, Voltron, Transformers, you know all those special shows you watched growing up! And of course, Robotech was one of those shows I had watched, only later to realize it was part of a different series of shows and the one that stood out to me above the rest, Macross.
I have my own production agency though freelance, Dark Heroes Entertainment, there my group and I do all sorts of video recordings of some of the most popular anime out there in the market, D.Gray-man, Macross, Tekkaman, Bleach, the list goes on.
Now let me tell you about my job here on Aria. While the others like Vinnie, LW and Chilly go and draw and animate, I take care of the audio portions. I mix in the appropriate sound effects and also direct the voice cast that’ll take part as well, it wouldn’t be Macross with characters right?!
I direct my cast into how the movie is written and how their characters should be portrayed based on the information Chilly gives me seeing how he’s the director.
Once that’s done and the cast has finished their lines, I go in and insert the lines they’ve done and do any manipulations nessessary to help bring their characters to life.
It’s probably one of the most rewarding experinces I’ve ever had and I hope you all enjoy the hard work I’m going to put into this.
You can also expect the same level of professionalism when Macross DYRL English edition is launched this fall!
